India’s largest airline, IndiGo, made history with the largest single purchase agreement ever in the commercial aviation industry after placing an order with Airbus for 500 A320 family aircraft at Paris Air Show 2023. 

Tata Group’s Air India and American aircraft manufacturer Boeing finalised an enormous order for up to 290 jets during Paris Air Show 2023. 

Low-cost European airline easyJet has cancelled 1,700 flights over its busy summer period between July and September. All the flights were to or from London Gatwick and the company said nearly all affected passengers had been rebooked on alternative easyJet services.

Australia’s Alliance Airlines has revealed a $100m (AUD148.5m) deal with Pricoa Private Capital in a profit guidance note filed with the Australian stock exchange. The filing by the airline showed that a private placement shelf facility had been agreed with Pricoa, the principal asset management business of US-based Prudential Financial.

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investing over $90m into 21 airports across the US to support the industry’s goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. Roughly $46.8m will go towards projects using solar energy and $44.5m on electric vehicles and transportation infrastructure.
