International Passenger Terminal

The new international passenger terminal building with an increased built-up area of more than 78,000 square meters will accommodate up to 7.5 million passengers annually. Further developments include jet bridges and state-of-the-art baggage handling systems. The new terminal building will remove the space constraints faced by the existing terminal and host a wide range of F&B outlets, retail spaces, lounges and other services.

Code F Runway

The new code-F runway with 3,400 meters in length and 60 meters in width will be constructed 190 meters offset the existing runway. With this development VIA will be able to accommodate the largest passenger aircraft in operation today, the Airbus A380.

Cargo Terminal

The new cargo terminal will have the capacity to handle 120,000 tons of cargo annually. Equipped with the latest systems and equipment required for cargo handling, it will serve as the hub for quick and efficient clearance, transport and delivery of air cargo.

Fuel Farm

The new fuel farm will have the capacity to store 45,000 cubic meters of Jet A1 fuel, 1,000 cubic meters of diesel and 100 cubic meters of petrol. Along with the expansion of fuel storage, hydrant systems will be installed at VIA improving safety and shortening service time of fuel supply.

VIP & CIP Terminal

The new VIP & CIP terminal will consist of dedicated lounges, boarding gates and airline check-in counters. In addition to immigration & customs clearance the new facility will also include passenger screening, baggage screening and baggage handling services with additional space for retail and Duty Free

Seaplane Terminal

The new seaplane terminal designed to international standards will have the capacity to serve 1,000 passengers per hour during its peak. This terminal will consist of 63 parking positions which can be expanded up to 80 when required.
